Want a version of PHP-Nuke with most of the more useless items removed? Feel that there are far too many files in Nuke?
Why hasn't someone made a version that cuts out all the rubbish, and just gives you the bits you're most likely to use?
Oh wait, that's just what I've done...
Introducing: PHP-Nuke Lite! A much smaller, more slimline version of PHP-Nuke containing only the parts that you'll need. PHP-Nuke Lite cuts out some of the modules and blocks that most people will never use, contains just one theme for initial installation and has all the languages except English removed.
Current releases:
- PHP-Nuke Lite 7.9 Beta
- PHP-Nuke Lite 7.9 Beta with Nuke Sentinel installed
Download from [link].
Coming soon!
- Restoration files for all removed modules!
- Extra language installation packages!
- Omitted themes packages! |

Sounds quite good.
If I was you I would personally have done this with 7.6 rather than 7.9.
It might be something to consider. |

Hmm... is 7.6 with patches more stable or something? I might just take your advice and make a version 7.6 patched if so.
Thanks. |

7.6 is the last version that does not come with the wysiwyg editor, and it is the release of choice for many webmasters. Every time I redo my site it is always with 7.6, and that is what I do most of the testing for modules on. It is faster than the newest version and it seems to have less bugs and flaws. |

Yes gnaunited is correct.
7.6 is the most stable and widely regarded as the most secure version of nuke.
It is also the most commonly used base for the nuke fork projects such as yours.
I think if you were to release your phpnuke lite with 7.6(patched with sentinel) as your package then it could be very popular.
Do a little research into the subject here on the forums and good luck with your project. |

Okay thanks
I forgot to mention, in the 7.9 package I released, I had removed the WYSIWYG editor. I'll get working on 7.6+patches and 7.6+patches+sentinel as soon as I get the time. |

When I click on the link, I receive this message: "You are using an Invalid IP to access this site!" Is there anywhere else to download this and can someone hit the admin on the side of the head with a board for blocking out legit customers. |
