Are there any available? I would really like to get a different theme other than the basic ones, and I am new to PHP-nuke. I've downloaded and installed some themes that say they are for 6.5 and up, but it seems that they don't work. Every time I upload and apply a theme, i get some error about headers or something, and then I cant access the site unless I delete the theme from the server.
Is there something I am doing wrong? Do i need to do something other than just upload the stuff into the themes folder? or do i need to find themes for 6.8 specifically.

Yes, it's possible that you're doing something wrong. LoL! I do stuff wromg all the time. But, to the point, I'm running a theme designed for Nuke 6.5 on my 6.9 beta site with no problems. I would think that anything designed for 6.5> should work fine.
