i have tried for 2 days now to install PHPnuke 8, and the SQL stuff, pretty much exactly how the installation guide has said, and i still cant get it to work.
Can someone help me out with this please?

You've got to give us more details. What exactly have you done? What system are you installing it on? What errors are you getitng?
basically i follow the installation guide to the letter, done everything like it asked too, and i couldnt get it to work. i tried putting index.php at the end of the address, got page cannot be displayed, nothing. Basically i am a complete noob to this, and the hosting that was bought for me is crap, it doesnt have the standard Cpanel thing that i have seen everywhere else, and the person who put me in charge wants to stick with this. Basically any help is appreciated!

Are you placing the files in the right place? Are you sure that PHP is even working on your host?
php does work with the host, i called them (I called a US number from a UK fone), and made sure, the host is godaddy, i have seen people using php nuke from that host, but i have no clue as to how they managed it. everything was put in the correct folder also, its all so frustrating!
i have put non-php nuke sites on there fine and it runs ok, but with this one its like i am hitting a brick wall!
