how do i add an image to the front page permanent story/welcome page (not the news section) the section that asks you to create a super user when you install nuke

if i add code to image it just removes it, same if i try add image to a block

i have read and may have to edit my php code but i looked and most my files and not see what needs to be changed.

any ideas?

Let me guess, youre running either nuke 7.7,7.8,7.9 or 8.0??

You should be able to use regular html to enter your image in any of these places, however, those versions of nuke are highly influenced by the flawed WYSIWYG editor.

It is this editor that is stripping the code.

Recomended that you drop back down to version 7.6.

im not actually sure what version i have, the cpanel admin does not advise and nothing on the page/site created.

yes i have tried standard html and using the wsywig editor but no joy, i do sometimes get it to preview but when submit still nothing.

is there a way round the problem as this is the version i need to use (without hassles). and im sure it should accept basic html for images

The "img" tag needs to be in the allowed HTML in config.php

It should be "img"=>2 but I still say it wont make a difference.

Evaders you are correct that the img tag must be allowed in the config.php but I have experienced this same problem with version 7.7 and above and could not find a workaround other than disabling the wysiwyg editor and even then its not a complete fix.

The wysiwyg editor seems to have a habit of stripping the code from any block manually entered.
