I'm running Phpnuke 7.9 and the most recent version of phbb with it.
Users are having problems to upload avatars. They are able to upload the files, but the forum does not seem to be able to use them. In the apache logs I see an error 'file not found' although the avatar files are available in the avatars directory. The rights to that directory are set to '777'.
If I go into the DirectAdmin software onto the server, I can see the uploaded files, but instead of an attribs value '644', the files get an attrib value of 777 and are assigned to 'apache' (GID and UID is 'apache' instead of my login account).
I looked everywhere but cannot find a solution to it. Anyone any other ideas maybe?
Thanks in advance (also on behalf of our users

It looks like it is uploaded. I'm not sure what the issue is.
Generally apache is the user for all the web scripts, so when you upload through phpBB, apache is the only user.

Yes, the files are uploaded, but with the only diffence that the UID and GID is apache. All other avatars have a GID / UID showing the name of my login account on the server (hosting account).. And those avatars are normally dispayed. So I think phpnuke cannot access the 'apache' files.

If they are 777, they should be accessible to everyone.
