I would like to where new users are required to fill in a profile with there info (real name, location, Aim, etc) and that this page shows up during registration. In addition, I would like to add a few items to the profile pages (Phone number, address, etc).
It seems to me that i have two options: 1) hack the existing user reg system or 2) Just write a new php page that bypasses it and writes straight to MySQL.
This is just a little project I am starting to plan out and am looking for any suggestions or thoughts.
