This is a pretty generic question since I have no idea about half the stuff you guys talk about in Speed Freaks. So, here goes.
I notice when my site loads the only thing that takes a long time is the images. I mean the host is pretty fast (it's a shared host) and the images arent that large. I heard about stuff like image gzip compression and stuff but I have no idea how to go about it and I'm willing to try just about anything if it means my site will go faster
Any help will be appreciated, but try and dumb down anything you say as I am kinda new to this stuff.
