I made post in a different forum and now I see this forum and think maybe I should have posted my request here, since the other post is not getting any answers.
My apologies for double-posting.
So, if this is the right place, here's my problem...
When I click on "Private Messages" I get an error.
The error message I get is:
Template->make_filename(): Error - file does not exist
The site I am having the problem at is:
www.antaeaneq.com
A picture of what the error looks like can be found here:
http://webpages.charter.net/rnbecky/pmerror.jpg
I have no idea really what this error message is telling me. I dont even know where to start. It's very frustrating since I been trying to find an answer for a couple days now.
I went to Jakob Persson's website to see if maybe he could give me an idea of what the problem may be and his reply was that he did not port this theme and to contact the person who did. Well, I would be happy to do that, except I can't find who that person was.
Any type of help at all would be just AWESOME!
Thanks |

Well, update of sorts, or addition if you will..
When clicking on the "Private Message" link anywhere on the site I get the above error. However, if you click the PM icon at the bottom of a thread from within the forum, you can send a PM to that person and they get the email and the message you have a new Private Message. But sadly you cannot view the message because of the error stated above.
Anyone? Pretty please? |

I ported that theme
Sounds like it is not installed incorrectly.
Read the readme file included and make sure you have downloaded the latest theme from the Gallery. Do not install the Forum template thru the Forum Style Admin. The ENTIRE theme is USABLE simply by uploading it to your themes directory.

I get the same error with all the themes I have uploaded

This started yesterday after I uploaded a mod from Nukeresources

File Attachment Mod
Description: This Mod adds the ability to attach files in phpBB2. This Version is Tested and works phpBB2 Module designed for PhpNuke. This Version will only work with phpBB2 Modules designed for PhpNuke.

Category: [7] PHPNuke 6.x/BBtoNuke Mods |
I think it has something to do with the part in the Install directions that has two subfolders to the "Forum" folder that I do not have.

modules/Forums/Private_Messages/index.php |
(my Private_Message folder is in "Modules")
and
I think modules/Forums/includes was the other subfolder that I didn't have but I can't remember at the moment.
Any ideas? |

Hello,
I am using the Chronicles theme on my website and I've been using it for about a year now, not to mention I downloaded it from the gallery here at Nukecops and I have never to stretch the word "never" received any error messages in PMs and everything work perfect, not to mention I have installed several mods into my PM (index.php) file. The problem you all are receiving is definitely not in the chronicles theme package. Apparently you have installed a mod that is causing the error or as MikeM stated installed the theme itself incorrectly. |

As I said, Chronicles (as well as ALL my themes) was working fine until I installed the Attach Mod which is a feature that sucks to have missing from a forum.
My question to you... Do you have a "Private_Messages" subfolder inside your "modules/Forums" folder? |

There you go. The problem is not the theme itself, the problem come from your "attach mod". If everything was working "before" you installed the mod and no longer work after you installed the mod. Uh, that only mean something went wrong in the installation of the mod. To answer your question, there shouldn't be a subfolder "private message" inside your forums.
modules/Private_Message & modules/Forums two different modules, two different directories. If your attach mod is referring to a subfolder "private_message" you need to port that part of the mod to point to modules/Private_Message |
