I am wondering if phpnuke is a good solution for a large information website which has very lengthy content (approx 100k per page).
I would utilize some of the functions of phpnuke such as the forum, user login, top story, who is online, and site search. e-commerce may also be implemented at a later date.
The site already has excellent search engine ratings on Google and other popular search engines. Can reconstructing the site with php or phpnuke adversly affect the search engine ratings?... Or, is it possible that it could be a plus?
So, the first question is...if phpnuke is a good solution. Secondly, if anyone knows how one can increase search engine ratings with using phpnuke please send me a message and we can communicate. I will happily make a donation for your time.
Any advice on whether phpnuke or something else is the best solution would be greatly appreciated.

If you already have good ratings then the answer is to build your php nuke site as the core - keeping the html pages to point to index.php instead of index.html
It would be madness to rip up all of your good work and start again with phpnuke.
The googletap feature is where you should be looking for info on nuke and search engines. It's not easy to get good rankings if you have no content. But great if you have loads
