One of the problems with generating feeds from Nuke content is that some distributions of Nuke don't enforce compliance in the source content, so the feed generator must make it so.

Yes, we did pretty extensive testing on nukeFEED to make sure the XML is valid / escaped for the different supported formats.

That could be harmful if it inserts records, but it should fail if it tries to create a table that already exists or if it tries to alter a table in a way that has already been altered.

The default RSS in PHP-Nuke is RSS 0.91, which only displays a headline and a link. Other syndication formats support more details. You might want to look at an addon like multiheadlines.

The $allowable_html is used in many, but not all, places. Where specifically are you having problems?
