Hi there,

I have tried the instructions the mikem gave them in the begining and everything works perfect. With that code that I have modified I manged to hide left block.

Although I would like to resize that module, because now what happens is that blocks on the left hand side disappear and stays blank, and still Forums module is very narrow.

Is there anyway that the place allocated for the left blocks to be used for a module?

I look forward to hear from you.
best regards.

Just use the Blocks_Mod as mentioned above.

That theme is already modified for diaplaying the forum without left blocks.

if you revert that what it normally is in themes and then apply Blocks_mod it should work with any module, not only Forums.

If you want to try, just use another theme.

Hey, see the previous answer about Blocks_mod

With that you can also select a theme.
If you copy a theme and set the width of the logo to 1 (or delete the img line), no problem, no logo, no blocks.

I never saw this thread until now, so I just read the whole thing. LoL! This is getting confusing as all get out... Very Happy

Which "phpNuke" header are you talking about in the forums, CobRaz? There are three major headers. Most ppl want to get rid of the ugly 'Title' header, but not the forum header or the PHP-Nuke header, and they want to get rid of the PHP-Nuke 'left' blocks.

Are you trying to do something like this? http://www.lenon.com/forums.html

If you get rid of the forum header, and/or the PHP-Nuke header, you'll lose your navigation...

Bwahahaha! Is that clear as mud?

Code:
/************************************************************/
/* Function themeheader()                                   */
/* BODY tag and in some part of the code call the blocks    */
/* function for left side with: blocks(left);               */
/************************************************************/
function themeheader() {
global  $admin, $user, $banners, $sitename, $slogan, $cookie, $prefix, $db, $nukeurl, $name, $anonymous;
if ($banners == 1) {
$numrows = $db->sql_numrows($db->sql_query("SELECT * FROM ".$prefix."_banner WHERE type='0' AND active='1'"));
if ($numrows>1) {
$numrows = $numrows-1;
mt_srand((double)microtime()*1000000);
$bannum = mt_rand(0, $numrows);
} else {
$bannum = 0;
}

I tried everything ... Please give me right code Very Happy

Quote:
In your theme.php you need to find:

Code:

function themeheader() {
global $user, $banners, $sitename, $slogan, $cookie, $prefix, $dbi;

And change it to:
Code:

function themeheader() {
global $user, $banners, $sitename, $slogan, $cookie, $prefix, $name, $dbi;

Then find:
Code:

blocks(left);

And replace it with:
Code:

if ($name=='Forums') {
/* Don't display it. */
}
else {
blocks(left);
}

As ALWAYS, BACKUP any files FIRST !!!!
