CIDR: Classless Inter-Domain Routing Cheat Sheet
InternetFolks, I'd like to make this a news article for all of us to use as a reference. I'm sure you've seen /21, or /24 written after IP addresses. Well, this is the CIDR system. The old A, B, C classes for IP Addresses basically left many IP addresses unusable. For scalability and to ensure that IP addresses are being used, the CIDR system was implemented. If you see any slash numbers and would like to know what they mean, you can use this article as a reference.

IP Subnetting (Score: 1)

Sorry, but I saw a little confusion here.

Classless routing is referred to a Routing protocol that exchanges the network mask between autonomous systems or AS.

And the distribution of IP mask Vs. binary that is writing above its referred to and old IP trick named "IP subnetting"

Obviously, you need to know the mask in order to exchange it, using a classless protocol. Especially if you are using a classless protocol, but both are not the same
