Advanced GoogleTap Question and Answer |
|
I was surfing a bit and noticed this cool thread over at SDDesign.biz (nice site Slashdot). Just to answer some questions about it, the EGT is a dream, its drop a few lines of code, and forget it. All the rewrites are done by the code itself. And so far it works for a major portion of a *nuke portal like news, forums, reviews, etc. For a more indepth FAQ, check GoogleTap.com. Hope that helps!
As an aside, there are ports of the original GoogleTap, with one about to be updated in close to two weeks. There is a version of GT for everyone! :D Bookmark Googletap.com for your up-to-date FAQs on this remarkable technology.

Thank you for the comments. :) We try to provide our users with all the great happenings in the Nuke community and GTap is definately one.
Me not being a die hard coder.. dont have much to say about it from that viewpoint. But the prespective of GTap being "automated" to "clicks & buttons" would be simply revolutionary.
But from a different Business viewpoint :- the successfull nes of any commercial/community portal depends majorly on the results/rankings/ratings it gets from google engine, as thats the most used search engine ever.
So the possibility of searching for a sepcific comodity or for a solution to a specific problems would be expotentialy increased with Advanced GTap; as it would yeild much more "refined" and "to the point" results in google search.
And what that can do to your business or community is "history". With the various packages being developed here and there by various coders (eg:steve, rod) the potential simply increases :) |
