StaticNuke.com: more features for your Nuke - more power
Add Onsnukeevangelist writes "good news - more inventions StaticNuke.com: more features for your Nuke a new project starts now!

in a new article petermckane writes "I have recently started a project called StaticNuke. Its intention is to add a layer of static content management functionality to PHP Nuke, allowing Nuke webmasters to effectively mange the non-live content on their websites. You add your HTML static pages to the database through an administration system. The system allows the webmaster to create categories, whcih are then generated as
modules on the host webserver. After both categories and pages are in the database,
the webmaster can then associate which pages need to be displayed in which categories.
This is the first release and as such I would love some feedback and some testers to give this a try."

..read on for more...in the extended text or just travel over and read more on StaticNuke.com: more features for your Nuke

I have used this same system on the StaicNuke website. Once its installed and configured, it only takes a very short time to get a whole series of static pages uploaded, organized and online.
The website for the project contains a FAQ that will guide you through the setup and installation. Due to the fact that this project is still in its early stages, the scripts are not self-configuring, but there are many upgrades already in the works. If I get enough good feedback, or if it looks like even a few people are using this with some success, then I will continue to develop the project.
StaticNuke is completely, and will remain completely open source. I have made this public after creating it for myself and seeing its potential as an effort to support the Open Source community, and be a part of the PHP Nuke phenomenon. Both the PHP Nuke and the Open Source communities have made my life a lot easier, and I want to give something back.
