Op-Ed: NSN complaints
Off-Topicgnaunited writes "As you know I have been coming to the users of Nuke Cops looking for help on translations and other things. I also try to go around to other places to try to spread the word that I need something. But I have recently submitted some news to the people at NukeScripts.net because I know that they get a fair share of hits themselves. On the latest story that I submitted to them (Still need the following translations...) I recieved the following message from an administrator

"Please stop submitting news at NSN. We do not support you nor your projects, and will continue to delete your submissions. Hope that saves you some time.". I then looked at their logo "NukeScripts Central: To Serve & Improve the Nuke Community". Gee, that seems funny. I really have no idea what to think about this but what the hell. Im pretty sure "BM or Bob Marion" didn't know about this but there is always the possibility. The admin who sent me that was Burnwave. He makes the store emporium for nuke. Just in case you want to contact him here is his email: {removed per request of email address owner for SPAM concerns}. I am glad that nukecops dont have polls stuck up there a**s like nsn. And also thanks for posting my stories. "

To everyone I wish a happy new year, and as I stated before I'm of the opinion to allow the majority of articles submitted to be approved (within limits). Recently my personal experience with Burnwave has been around the Workboard project. We had a brief chat about it and my potential contribution to it. It is a nice module that Mike Squires has started.

With regard to your news submission at NSN, I haven't submitted anything there for over half a year now at least. The only places I submit news / approve news now are here, computercops.biz, and phpnuke.org.

But the stats also speak for themselves here. For the past quarter we've sustained 1.7 million plus hits per month each month. So NC seems to be doing something right. :D

Thanks go out to all for a great 2003, and we look forward to even more in 2004.

I personally am opened to anyone and their projects Alex, however, as you know, we aren't happy with your previous actions. You decided it would be 'right' to steal someones identity on the NSN team... and then think we would continue to support you afterwards? I don't think so buddy. That was a very childish thing you had done in the passed.

Also, I believe it was quite childish posting this article here at NC before complaining to me, or NSN as a whole in the matter. However, you would rather come here, post a slanderish news post because SOMEONE doesn't accept you for your 'bad deeds' in the past, and expect sympathy from others for it?

I am not a hater Alex... my email was straight forward and in no way was meant to slam you OR your efforts. You should have just thought out your actions a long while ago before committing to them.

Also, ZX and I had a chat a month or so ago regarding the future of NC and my own personal projects. We were mutually opened to each other, nor did he reject me because of my position at NSN. This shows that we do indeed get along, no matter what sides of the war we are on.

********
NC, please remove my email address from your post. This is enticing SPAM and I am not opened to it.

One of the few times I will post here.

First, there are 4 levels of user accounts at NSN:
1) Active
2) Suspended
3) Inactive - you never come back from here
4) GONE - this means nothing remains at all

Your account, even though you have not contacted me directly about it save the one PM, is still there in either the #2 or #3 state. It will have been put in that state for one of a few reasons by the site it's self, most notably abuse of the site as tracked thru the ip.

Next, you posted here instead of waiting for my PM reply to you. You also know thru our IM conversation the other day where I guided thru a issue you contacted me about that I am away alot of the time, therefore you knew that it would take longer to get a reply from me on the PM system. During that conversation you found me to be open and receptive of your questions and comments. I did not cut you off or ignore you, I did however give you the chance to have an open and ongoing dialog with myself and therefore with NSN. Your actions prove you to be untrustworthy or a part of NSN in any manner. This in it's self should not surprise me, I always do my best to forgive and move on. This action keeps me from doing that. You, yourself have brought this onto yourself by expecting NSN and anyone with NSN to respect you even if the respect has not been earned.

You are attacking Mike who has been a part of NSN longer then any other NSN staff member. He has EARNED my trust to admin my site without requiring him to beg me for permission to take care of content. NSN has approved more content then any other site compared to the posts that are deleted. Out of the 700 posts currently on NSN only 5 were deleted due to content. Okay make that 6 including the one I had not even seen before you started your campaign against Mike and NSN. This is not due to us disliking you but you impersonating me several times to gain access to restricted information or scripting.

Yes, I am NSN (just as ZX is NC), but NSN is more then just BobMarion. As NC is more then just ZX. ZX and myself make the hard/finial decisions that face our sites but most decisions are made by jury poll so to speak. This has placed ZX and myself on opposing sides of many issues. The two of us represent large parts of the community. Your posting here on this issue to me appears to be one of those war starters. You know that ZX and myself don't see eye to eye. I feel that you are trying to open old wounds and I do respect ZX posted your article knowing the many ways it could go. You may not know that ZX and I have agreed to dis-agree. I for one will not take part in what you are trying to do here, nor would I blame ZX for removing this comment or the entire thing.

What does that last paragraph mean? In other words, NSN will not support you in the future. Most of the regionals and staffers have already spoken their minds on this matter. You did not fair well with any of them and in this case the majority rules.

My name is Dean Thompson, webmaster of www.fullaccess.us and a part of the NukeScripts Network.

I also learned of "gnaunited's" little scam and I am with NSN on this, not because I have been forced to or because I am part of the NSN network but because these are my thoughts on this subject.

I decided to put my thoughts (for what they are worth) in to this matter, I would have done the same thing as anyone else would have in this situation.

Some things to remember are........

No website has to allow any news submission.
No website has to allow any users that lie, cheat or betray others trust, to access any part of there website, let alone be any part of it.

Personaly I would not trust you with a 20 foot pole seeing what you did to others that trusted you.

Slamming others for something you asked for is just plain stupid, the reasons for what have happened to you are as plain as dirt, you did what you did and now you suffer for your actions.

I dont have much more to add to this matter and I just hope you can understand what you did was/is wrong and you only have yourself to blame.

If I was you (and I am happy I am not), I would say SORRY to all the people you offended and ask ZX to remove this entire posting because you miss informed his website and that your past actions are the reasons for this.

ZX, BM, MS & Myself would do the same thing again in this situation.

I thank you ZX for allowing us to answer to this trouble some issue.
