Re: News module hack - great we look forward (Score: 1) by NukeEvangelist on Monday, May 01 @ 03:01:48 CEST (User Info | Send a Message) | hi there,
thrilling good news - sounds interesting.
plz - if you have in mind to hack the news-module then have a closer look at the work of two guys
1. www.Albini.net - Tonino47 did a great job with the stream-news-module; please have a look
2. www.metopen.com - and the great dev, called heshys, has done great things with the news-module: he created the future-news module
- the guys from Thainuke - or let me say doctornuke.com (NET !?!) worked on the news-system.
so meetzah, plz have a closer look at the work of the above mentioned guys. Get into contact with them and ask if you can get ideas , help or code.
try to incorporate some of the inventions.
and yes: MANYMANY nukers look forward to your work. it is appreciated
great things to come - we look forward
regards
nevangelist

Re: News module hack - great we look forward (Score: 1) by perfect-games on Wednesday, May 03 @ 16:54:06 CEST (User Info | Send a Message) http://www.dazzlesoftware.ca | i managed to do this with my cms which is based off phpnuke 7.9 i reprogrammed every single module only down side in your case is that my system uses smarty template engine only reason behind this i wanted nuke modules and core code more template based.
so each section say nuke news submit each section like topic area, text area tables are defined within tpl files
if your intrested i can do this to your nuke or if you wait 1 - 2 weeks i will release it as i waiting on my new server from my data centre
hope this helps
steve
p.s nice to see you still around NukeEvangelist nuke does like your research and help keep phpnuke alive :) |
