Re: Have you heard? (Score: 1) by DraGoNLorD on Saturday, September 25 @ 18:50:33 CEST (User Info | Send a Message) | Leave it to Micro$oft to find a way to stick it to people for more money.
If they are not going to provide updates for IE the need to at least give the option to uninstall it. |
Re: Have you heard? (Score: 1) by moomamooma on Sunday, September 26 @ 23:17:37 CEST (User Info | Send a Message) | I agree 110%. When I found the link on this site for the zdnet article, I posted a comment on the zdnet site.
Basically, I feel that the old saying comes in to play, "Don't start something unless you are going to finish it." I mean sure, there are many people who will simply "find another browser." That does not fix the other half of the issue. What about OS security?
In the artilcle M$ repeated on quite a few occasions that IE is part of the O$. If you simply get another browser and not update IE (because now you can't), what about the security of your O$? I guess now we (us windows users) will have to look for another O$ as well.
Just my thoughts on the matter. |
