PhPBB is great, but I need Invision Power Board (IPB) because of some of the features.

My host 'auto-install'ed PhPNuke which includes PhPBB. Via Cpanel, I can autoinstall IPB but get the warning...
"You must install in a top level directory. Example: 'http://theancientartsofhealing.net/InvisionBoard' is a valid place to install, but 'http://theancientartsofhealing.net/user/andy/InvisionBoard' is not."

PhPBB is located in root/Phpfolder/modules/Forums and by replacing it with IPB, doesn't work.

Is there a way to incorporate IPB into PhPBB and if so, is there a link to a 'how-to'?

There is a post Here that explains how to do it.

Good. I looked - very hard. I would think that with a million times, it would have shown up in the search quite easily. Maybe the search tool needs fixing.
A polite Thank you.

After you're done giving lessons, then maybe you would like to attend my class and learn to treat others the same way you would want to be treated if you were a bit out of your realm.

Thanks, for the insults. I'll keep it in mind when I have something to offer.

That's his signature, where has he insulted you?

He posted a link to a solution and I have posted a link to a hack to do it.

You really need to lighten up.

Sorry. I didn't know a signature could not be insulting. My mistake.
BTW - thanks for the link - anyway.
Is this lightened up enough?

Maybe a signature can be insulting but it wasn't aimed directly at you was it.

Yes, that's light enough Smile

As said, it wasnt directed at you at all. Perhaps thats paranoia kicking in? Smile

Its meant more as a joke than an insult, most support staff including myself get tired of answering the same questions over and over again. This one has been covered a couple of times but nowhere near as many as others that get posted 5 times a day Rolling Eyes .

I tried the suggestions given previously and though they do integrate users and incorporate a smart password finder, it still doesn't integrate IPB with PhPNuke in the way that PhPBB replaced by IPB.

A case in example is that when clicking Forums in Nuke ACP, it goes to PhPBB. While it would be nice to make a link in Nuke itself so users click on Forums and end up with IPB, not PhPBB - I don't see how either suggestions, both being the same thing, one with files, the other a doc guide, take it to the next step of everything PhPBB becoming IPB.

Hi Shiva,

Try this thread at Invision and see if this helps:
http://forums.invisionpower.com/index.php?showtopic=78775

Here is a quote from that thread:
Quote:
This hack will combine your invisionboard and phpnuke registration into one! It will also syncronize lost password feature of phpnuke and invisionboard. Additionally, it will modifiy profiles in php-nuke to be redirected to your IBF profile. Finally, it redirects messages within the phpnuke control panel to the invision board message system.

Hope this helps. Good luck.
