My private messaging sytem is in shambles. Actually a user can do everything with PM system, except for reading messages. When I try to read a message, it directs me my site's root (homepage).

Its not a routing or direct cause the link to the message is itself a link ot my homepage. When I take my cursor over the subject of the PM in my inbox, "http://www.mobilejunkies.net" shows in my status bar.

I tried updating my forums once, and accidentally installed an even older version of bbtonuke (I think i was running 2.0.15 or 2.0.16 and now all it says in forum's admin panel is powered by phpbb 2.0.7) with no mention of porting etc as it did before. Did this tinker with my PM system?

What should I do?

If your site isn't mobilejunkies.net, sounds like you've been hacked...

What version did you use specifically? Because 2.0.7 is usually hardcoded into some themes and is not correct. The only correct value is in the Forums admin panel

My site 'is' http://www.mobilejunkies.net

Actually we had a lot of problems with the forums. Sometime after accidentally downgrading the forums we had a serious problem and had to restore the files from our old backup.

So in effect our database configuration is according to 2.0.7 (it says so in forum admin panel) while our files are according to either 2.0.15 or 2.0.16 (dont remember exactly)

The forums admin panel shows just "Powered by phpbb 2.0.7" not even port to bbtonuke.

I think I should try installing 2.0.16, maybe that will fix the PM system

Really? Mmm check the bbconfig table in your database, make sure the version number really is .0.7

Yup it says .0.7

How can I have phpbb on my site integrated with phpnuke. I mean it must be bbtonuke!

Maybe its possible that bbtonuke .0.7 didnt have that "ported to bbtonuke" text in the admin panel

Alright, what version of phpNuke are you using? I would start with those files. Load up the Patched files from there. That will get you to BBToNuke 2.0.17 and you can run the rest of the BBToNuke upgrades
