Ok i'm not sure if this is the right place but, i've tried for a week to find and do this. I want to be able to add a drop down menu in the header theme file (header.html) I've tried using frontpage and dreamweaver to add this, but it never works. Anyone able to help me on how I can add this? I want to be able to get rid of the module block and replace it with the drop down menu feature on top in the header theme or create a block that will do the same thing. Except if it's a block I want to be able to have the menu open to the right.

there's a fairly fundermental problem with abandoning the modules block - it adds and removes modules from the database.

What I'd recommend to somebody who knows how to program in PHP is backup the modules block, and rewrite the bit that creates the block content for the modules.

However, to somebody who can't program, I'd recommend you buy a PHP manual / reference guide (there are quite a few out there, so go to a book store and have a look through them to see if there's one you can understand), and then re-write the code for the modules Smile

Well I can manually add the links and stuff, I'm not worried about it refering to the database. Just something where I can add like an applet or sliding menu or something to a block or the theme. I've seen a few programs out there, and for some reason I can't get the applet to work.

Look at my Site Info block at my site and se if that's something like what you want in a block.

YES! What i'm looking to do is what is at redwebz.org , thanx for posting that. I'm looking for a menu like that. In a block form is great, but I was looking to intrigrate it into part of the theme. If you look at raven's site, where he has the ": Home :" right under the logo banner, that's where I'm looking to place it. Is this possible? If not where-a-bouts do I go to make the one that's at redwebz.org? I've tried everything, I pretty much put tons of time into stuff on how to do it. But then I get frustrated when it doesn't work and I resort to help Smile.

Lol, hopefully it'll work out. I want to place it right under the theme logo.gif. I've aquired tons of links and module add-ins and stuff for my site. It's for asheron's call game. Website is used alot and it's just plain aggraviting scrolling down looking for links. My site users though it would be great to add a menu option up top. I can always customize it.

You can put the syntax to include your script in the header.php.
Find the lines and add the line like:
Quote:
echo "<LINK REL=\"StyleSheet\" HREF=\"themes/$ThemeSel/style/style.css\" TYPE=\"text/css\">\n\n\n";
include("includes/my_header.php");
echo "\n\n\n</head>\n\n";

include("pathto/and_script.php"); //<-----this line!!!

themeheader();
