hi, i have a webpage in a free web server, but mod_rewrite isnt acivate, i have buke 6.5 , i put the index.php of nuke 5.4 andy urls is:
www.mysite/article.php?sid=... is good but the problem is, when you click on read more the next page shows an error "/usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/web_users/mywebudes/sql_layer.php on line 289
Unknown column 'position' in 'field list'"
i know probably because is the index of nuke 5.4 , my question is...
why i can have a short url in the forum... articles etc etc... without mod_rewrite activate...

that's not a GT'd url, that's just an old and insecure version of PHP-Nuke's URLs.
In 5.5 onwards there was a big change in how areas of the site work. All the areas of the site reside in the /modules/ directory rather than in the root directory.
Even though your URLs are short, it's not because of the Google Tap
