I am considering doing a major overhaul to my site. Is there any to turn off Nuke so that members can not access the site and receive some type of message stating that the site is down for maintanence?

Thanks

Sure. Rename your main index.php file to index-orig.php. Then create a new index.php file that looks something like this
Code:
<?
echo "This site is presently under going maintenance.  Please check back in a week or so.  Thanks";
?>

What code would I use if i wanted to add an image to the file so that it can be seen when someone comes to the page?
