Hi,

Has anyone done any work getting Sommarie Parametrable version 2.1.1 to work with GT-NExtGen .4 ??

Are their any toutorials? Specifically for the GT-module_name.php file that goes into the GoogleTap directory.

Thanks,
Darrell

hi,

to make it work with GT-NExtGen, you have to install also the GT-Main Menu tweak : go here
http://marcoledingue.free.fr/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=9

and pick the one for your nuke.
install it, then Sommaire should detect it and use the .html urls instead of the .php

Marco,

I had Sommarie 2.1.1 installed. After running the main menu tweak and uploading the mentioned files it then instructed me to get a new Sommarie block and install that as well.

I've done all that and now several more items in the Sommarie menu are tapped, however things are not as nicely formatted as they used to be.

I believe you guys may have inadvertantly mixed versions in your download instructions.

The dates do not correspond. The stuff form NextGen site is apperantly for an older version of Sommarie. It's from at least 5 months ago.

Now my Sommarie block is a tad bit messed up. The T's and L's don't line up there are gaps between these graphical images. The pick lists at the bottom of the admin section of the Sommarie block is missing and replaces by just a list of stuff.

You can see it here: http://www.psy-center.com

Is there a current Block_Sommarie.php available to replace the one for version 2.1.1 ??? (My best guess would be that I've replaced it with an older version)

Thanks,
Darrell

Nevermind! Very Happy

I was able to fix it.

The Install_main_menu_tweak.php gives you a link to the old version of Sommarie. If you have the new version of Sommarie installed don't grab the one that the Install tweak suggests.

Instead go to the NextGen site and get the latest copy of the Sommarie block there.

I believe the problem is sorted now.

Darrell

Yes but that isn't the newest version of the block, I used that also and it worked but didnt have the dynamic menu options etc as 2.1.1 has. I believe the block on the site is only 2.0

Coop,

I'm not up on Marco's stuff, but I think that the NextGen site has version 2.1 and from what it sounds like to me, were both running 2.1.1.

I'm happier with the mix/match between 2.1.1 and 2.1 than what I had a moment ago with 2.1.1 and 2.0. Phew, that was horrible. lol I hope I don't run into any snags down the road because of this mix match of versions. I'm gonna let it run and see.

If you do stumble accross a 2.1.1 block that's ported to work with the main menu tweak please let me know about it Coop.

As a side note... Anyone that installs this main menu tweak will have some extra work to do that is not in the instructions.

The blocks and modules that it dosent recognize will not work for you!

You will have to log into the admin/modules section and add a URL for them. If your not prepared to port your blocks to the new short URL form and edit the .htaccess file immediately then for the short term simply enter an old style URL reference.

For Example: modules.php?name=Bookmarks

You'd substitute the proper name of the module or block in place of Bookmarks.

This will get your menu up and running in the shortest amount of time.

When your ready change that to the short name you want and edit your .htaccess file with a rewrite rule that corresponds to it. You can read the tutorial on the NextGen site for help with this.

None of this was mentioned in the main menu tweak docs. I just thought I'd give you a heads up, because your menu won't work till you make these quick edits.

Thanks,
Darrell

hi,

Sommaire v2.1 or v2.1.1 can't work with GT-NextGen+GT Main MEnu Tweak Confused
in fact the files i have released in the package don't have the necessary code to work with these addons.
i removed the code i've made for GT compatibility, because of side-effects. (detected during beta-test stage)

and i completely forgot that i removed this code!
The Download details state faslely that SP works with GT-Nextgen.

i see that somebody made this tweak. i'll implement this for v2.1.1 soon.

sorry!

Looks likes things are under way here LOL!!

I will have to update the tweak to the new link for Sommaire when the new version is NExtGEn compliant.
