i've seen on a few sites (not sure if they are php or not) that the news posted on the main site is also the forum post. when you look at the news on the main page, for example, it will say there are 10 comments. when you read those commments, it's actually brings you to a forum post. does anyone know how to do this? an example is www.totalbf2.com

Looks like a system based on vBulletin. There are many portals based on phpBB too. Sadly, I haven't seen one that works for phpNuke

Search for "Front Page News Hack" for phpBB. It may take some php coding to get it to work correctly, but it does exist.

Hey Plasma...I have a block that does the last 10 posts in forums, but it does not show how many replies on the mouseover like your example has. Want me to find it?

You could probably use the fetch mod , of course it would need some tweaking, but it's very possible .

You could always just copy/paste your news into the forums, then make a link in the actual news to the forum post....
