Hello all I run http://Athens101.com and right now we are using Nukeblog. I like how simple NukeBlog is but I would like something with more features. I have searched all over google but could not find any additional blog modules for phpnuke.

I know about the blog module over at nukekorea but it looks a bit hairy to install at this time.

What blog systems would you guys/gals recommend?

try cross nuke. it is the best thing if you want to give your users a blog system. the url is:

http://www.crossnuke.com/

try it out. it integrates into your existing nuke system. there are some bugs but well worth it.

Another alternative is to enable one of your forums to act as a blog. An example:

Well, on my site, i just took the Journal module and renamed every reference to the word Journal and changed it to Blog.

That is a lighter, preinstalled ready to go option for you.

have you tried installing the BlogMOD from nukekorea.net? I think it looks pretty decent and appears to run off of the forum.

Yeah I gave that noe a shot but it was a no go. Something about having to hand edit 15+ nuke files to install. I would just dread doing that every time I upgraded PHPNuke.

The question is why do you have to upgrade your site everytime a new version comes out? Now security fixes are different. If something is not broken then why you wanna fix it?

I have blog mod from nuke korea on my site, i really like it. the editing files took forever i give you that, but I had plenty of time over spring break (darn, school in three hours) and i found it worth it. There are a few things that aer quite problematic and you may want to wait for the next version for the fix.

You must be using FireFox.

I do not know why PHP-Nuke 7.6, 7.7 cannot be access by FireFox unless you installed User Switcher Agent to switch to IE.

Anyone know where is the problem?

IE user should be able to access without any problem.

Just found out that the line

header('Content-Encoding: gzip');

in mainfile.php has to be blank out before FireFox can display the website.

Guys, you can view Blog-sg.com with FireFox now.
