Hey!
When I upgraded from 7.3 to 7.5 My "Security code" image on my frontpage block disappeared. If I try to logon without the code I will off course get the following message: Login Incorrect! Please Try Again...

....and routed here: modules.php?name=Your_Account&stop=1

Here I can see the securitycode and am able to login.

Can anyone help me find a solution to this bug?

I am having the EXACT same problem...

Anyone find a cure to this? Or can point me in the right direction...

One note -- I have a Admin Login Block on the right side of my page that DOES have the security image in that block. Not sure why the login block doesn't have it.

I THINK we have an old block with old code, but I am not sure.... If that is so...where is the latest loginbox (se ghostrecon.enemyoffline.com) for the version I have now.

just for shits and gigles goto your config.php and
1) check the $gfx variable and make sure its set to 7 I think
2) goto the end of your files and just after the ?> make sure there is no blank lines or spaces after the ?> tag.

Sorry I haven't posted the resolution to this problem sooner....

This was taken from another thread ( http://nukecops.com/postlite34993-security+code.html ) and has worked for me! Smile

Quote:

URL Link to security code image changed in 7.5, so that's why some addon blocks/modules cannot displaying security code image properly. You'll have to change the PHP-Nuke scripts, find any occurences of:
Code:
modules.php?name=Your_Account&op=gfx

or:
Code:
admin.php?op=gfx

And replacing them into:
Code:
?gfx=gfx

or
Code:
index.php?gfx=gfx

You also have to do what Nobleclem said in the post above. But if that doesn't work, more than likely, this is what you need to do! Smile

5 min ago it worked..cleared cookies and some non-security related work, and then they where gone!
Anybody a solution?

Okay. If you are using 7 point anything but 5 and have the security number thing dissappear. The folloiwing may have happeined:

in admin area, change the module for "your account" change it to visiable to registered users only and the security number will dissapear. Change it back to visiable to "all visitors" and the security code reaappears.

A fluke thing that happened in the middle of being hacked and trying to solve that and then piddling with modules at the same time. I am going crazy here. Laughing

Well, this is beyond me... As soon as I made those code changes, I immediately got back my security code.

Good luck! Smile

OK Here is my situation. I just did a fresh install of 7.5 . I never had the security code set to anything but 0. So I wanted to add that feature and thought since it wasn't working maybe it was my server hosting company. I ran analyzer.php and to my amazement there was a security code number at the bottom. Now on to the solution to my problem. First I was using the web based file system that my provider gives us and a nice little web based text editor. well I add some lines to my language file with it also to my config.php file. Well that little program added 1 to 2 lines at the end of the file each time I edited it. So I had 2 files that I pulled from the web server and edited with dreamweaver to make sure there were no lines at the end and FTPed them home. Poof that was it. Security code window is now working. Well except for that nice site info login block from ravenscripts that isn't working but I think I might know what is wrong with it. It was written for a different version on phpnuke. I hope some of this info will help you guys out.

I had to learn that the hard way as well.. My preference now on editing PHP files or any real text based files is Crimson Editor! Its a GREAT text editor! You dont have to worry about it adding extra lines.. Allows for multiple documents to be opened at once in one window.. Which is GREAT for having to cut and paste from one file to another! Smile

I'm using version 6.8 on one site (yes, I know upgrade you bozo, I'm getting to it one of these days), and 7.4 on another, and none of these fixes has helped!

I am using 7.5. It was a fresh install for a new site. Yesterday, my hosting account was switched from a reseller account to a VPS. I noticed this morning that the security image is gone.

Now, I have to say that I usually leave myself logged in, so this could have happened before the migration. Does anyone have any idea on what I should do? I checked my admin tables in PHPMyAdmin and there is nothing wrong there.

I have "7" checked in the config file and also checked to make sure there were no spaces at the end of the file and then re-uploaded it.

Still no security image. Any ideas, thoughts? Thank you in advance!

Oh, and does this mean I could have been hacked?
