... how do you handle the fact that almost all of the IP adresses you are banning from your webserver are dial up IP adresses? And that you block a lot of people that get this IP later?

I dont know whats the problem with someone doing a "subseven" scan on my PC or server. You have to realize that this does nothing bad to you until you dont have a subseven installed on your machine. Nothing will happen. No CD drive will open and nobody will have access to your data just by doing a port scan.

Allevon, dont get me wrong, you can do in your free time whatever you like, and its not a problem with me, I only want to tell the readers that a subseven scan of a PC is not a problem in any way. What has to be done is to keep the machine clean and up to date. When you keep an eye on this, you dont even need a "personal firewall". They are useless like IP banning.
