If web sites claim the files as their own and make no mention of this site other than using a direct download link, that that is a problem I think would bother anyone.

So long as credits are given then linking to the download is not a problem as far as I can tell. Basically how we've been operating is just fine.

Placing personal files on this server that have nothing to even do with php-nuke and linking to them to run your personal website is bandwidth theft.

I see that the AUP is not enough, so I'll have to add a disclaimer to the uploads module this week.
