Do you get any errors, or does the post look like its submitted but does not show up?

Did the problem occur after you patched? It seems like that for me anyway, perhaps sentinel isn't the cause.

I installed nuke 7.8 patched some time ago and am now trying to post news. It did work initially but now when I write the post and submit it nothing happens, it doesn't get posted, and I get no errors ...

It still created the user, and IP block doesn't mean much if someone is using a proxy. I set sentinel to http auth, maybe that will help.

I am running 7.8 with the latest patches and as far as I know sentinel is set up properly. I got this from sentinel:

Ok I checked forum cookie settings. The domain was set to mysite.com, so I changed that to my domain. The cookie name is "phpbb2mysql" is this appropriate for bbnuke?
